Lavrar o Mar, after summer
The Lavrar o Mar project returns this autumn with a program that goes from Aljezur to Monchique, between distilleries that the fire almost destroyed, and gastronomic dances.
The third program cycle of Lavrar o Mar begins this weekend in Monchique, in a small-scale distillery that survived the summer fires. The text of the show "Medronho # 1 - the fire is not four letters" was written by Sandro William Junqueira who, together with the writer Afonso Cruz and the director Giacomo Scalisi, collected testimonies in the place in the aftermath of the fire.
On the last weekend of November, on the occasion of the Sweet Potato Festival, the Dancing! Show, which will happen at Rogil, promises joy, movement and exotic flavors with the sweet potato in the spotlight. This culinary dance will have live music, with Orquestra Vicentina, on 29 and 30 Nov and Fogo Fogo, on days 1 and 2 Dec.
Until 2 June 2019, the Lavrar o Mar program will continue to present different proposals that will embrace the performing arts in a perspective that relates and mixes local and contemporary culture.
